Still taking in our unforgettable European adventure — 2 years post corrective gastric surgery and 2 1/2 months post double knee replacements. It's a whole new world! We explored the timeless wonders of Rome and the Vatican, wandered the ruins of Pompeii, stood in awe of the Medici legacy in Florence, cruised the coast of Cinque Terre, breathed in the lavender fields and sunflowers of Valensole, climbed the hills of Monte Carlo, and strolled through the vibrant streets of Barcelona.
From the sacred stillness of the Sistine Chapel to the rhythm of Spain, this trip with Matt and the kids was more than a vacation — it was a deep reminder of how precious life is and how connected we all are through history, faith, and the resilience of the human spirit - tested time and time again and proven through generations.
So grateful for the memories we made, the laughter we shared, and the amazing people who made this journey possible — especially Matt and the kids, amazing friends, and the phenomenal PT and orthopedic team who helped me take every single step. So many pictures...so many precious moments. Looking forward to planning our next trip - TBD!
